WARNINGS:

  • Handmade product, the following photos are for illustrative purposes
  • We are not responsible for incorrect assembly, it is recommended to contact professionals
  • Do not rely exclusively on the data detected by the Autool tool to protect the engine and the car
  • It is advisable to read the assembly instructions before starting the installation

1. Removing the air vent

  • Using a thin plastic lever, position yourself just below the air vent
  • Pry in several places to free the air vent from the dashboard
  • It will then be possible to remove it from its seat

2. Positioning of the OBD cable

  • Start positioning the cable from the USB socket leaving about 10/11 cm free

  • Insert the cable into the slot between the instrument panel and the side glass, using a plastic lever

  • Continue routing the wire by inserting it into the gap between the plastic and the door seal

  • Go down to the end of the dashboard and bend the cable to the right

  • Remove the cover of the OBD socket on the car (rectangular in shape fixed with a small string)

  • Hide the cover behind the outlet itself

  • Connect the OBD cable and arrange the cable by passing it behind the socket (use the supplied clamps if necessary)

To avoid the risk of entanglement, do not leave the cable exposed and pay attention not to damage it when arranging it

  • Once the cable has been properly arranged, the connector must be removed from the OBD socket

It is necessary to temporarily disconnect the connector from the OBD socket to avoid connection problems between the car and the Autool tool. The connector will only be connected to the OBD socket at the end of the installation procedure

3. Autool X60 support and tool assembly

  • The kit includes the molded base (1) and the support with integrated Autool tool (2)

  • Take molded component (1) and place it at the bottom of the air vent

  • Momentarily insert the two M3 screws supplied

  • Hold it all together and turn the air vent to one side. Now position the support with the integrated Autool tool (2) following the geometries of the air vent

  • Screw the two star screws all the way into the lower holder

  • Then check that the instrument support follows the geometry of the nozzle and finally tighten the screws until they stop

Inside the support there are two self-locking nuts that allow a secure fixing without excessive tightening

  • Press lightly to insert the air vent into its seat on the dashboard

  • Insert the USB cable into the rear seat of the instrument support

When inserting the USB cable, make sure that the blue part is facing up. It is also necessary to avoid forcing the USB socket in order not to damage the instrument itself and the relative electronic card

  • Before inserting the OBD connector, it is necessary to start the engine and the instrument panel of the car

  • Finally, definitively insert the OBD connector in the relative socket on the car
